Overview
Forties Alpha and Delta - condensate warmers and gas coolers
Allards International undertook the thermal design, mechanical design, engineering, expediting, procurement, fabrication, and testing and inspection of two gas coolers, together with two condensate warmers - shell and tube heat exchangers.
These heat exchangers were designed for operation on the Forties Alpha and Delta platforms, operating for Apache North Sea Ltd.
Within a timeframe of around 6/7 months for supply of all units, Allards International completed the ship motion and acceleration analysis, thermal and mechanical design followed by procurement and fabrication of the four heat exchangers.
The heat exchangers were supplied fully painted, ready for installation offshore. The company delivered the completed package to Aberdeen.
The final weight of condensate warmers was 1200kg and the gas coolers 4900kg.
