types of heat exchanger, based on many years of experience in the field of
process heat transfer. Our thermal
and mechanical engineers are able to "think outside the box" to
troubleshoot exchanger performance and propose practical solutions to restore or
increase performance.
Design Services
Allards International offers a complete
design and engineering service for heat exchanger and pressure vessel design.
We have experience in the design of both individual exchangers and of
complete heat exchanger networks and skid packages.
In additional to designing our own equipment Allards
International can provide a service to companies without these resources who can
use our design expertise to fulfill their design requirements.
Thermal Design
Our thermal designers have
the expertise to provide a wide range of solutions utilising different exchanger
types and the latest technologies such as welded plate heat exchangers. This
means that we can help you achieve an optimum design with the most suitable
exchanger technology with the maximum reliability and efficiency at minimum
cost.

reliability benefits.
 Our designers have many years
of thermal design experience between them and use both in-house software and
commercial software to propose a wide range of solutions. Our membership
of HTFS ensures that Allards International has access
to internationally recognised leading edge software for design and simulation of
heat transfer equipment.
Vibration Check
In parallel with our thermal
and mechanical design services we analyse all our heat exchangers to ensure that
they operate without vibration. This
service is also available for existing heat exchangers to provide insight and
propose solutions.
Mechanical Design
Allards
International are able to carry out the mechanical design to most international
pressure vessel codes including:
These
mechanical calculations are performed using a variety of software including
Finglow, HTFS Mechanical, Win_Shell, and in-house software.
In
addition to the strength calculations, when required, we also carry out seismic
(earthquake) calculations and wind load calculations. All our drawings are
produced using CAD software.
